The best thing that ever happened to me after purchasing my first horse was meeting Bruce.  If it weren’t for his help, this inexperienced horsewoman and her feisty Arab mare would have parted company long ago.

With kindness and patience, he taught ME how to trailer load my horse, and also how to calm her down by understanding her mind and reactions, “operate” her from the hind end, and most importantly, not to make excuses.  I’m still learning from Bruce…he’s a wonderful mentor and friend, and he accomplishes miracles with horses.

In the summer of 2001 I had heard of a horse trainer that could work miracles with difficult and dangerous horses. At that time my stallion Ali and I were…Quote on Quote. “Coming up on the rough side of the mountain”. Ali and I had been to many horse trainers who were unable to help us.

That day, I phoned Bruce hoping for a miracle. I told him that I had a four old Arabian stallion that would attack people, rear, strike, buck, kick and under saddle would rear straight up in the air reach around, grab hold of your leg and pull you out of the saddle. Little did Bruce know that was only the half of it!

In my first lesson with Bruce, he showed me where I was missing it and taught me a way of understanding and communicating with horses that goes beyond anything I have ever learned.

Bruce Griffin is a wonderful, caring person and one of the greatest teachers and trainers for both horses and their owners. Bruce has taught me that if I am communicating successfully with my horses I can do anything. Bruce’s methods are simple and they work.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce several years ago. I bought Tex, a five-year-old half Paint and Arabian who had never been saddled. I was anxious to begin trail and endurance riding.  To help me get Tex ready, through mutual friends, I met Bruce. From the beginning, I knew he was a genuine horse lover.  Before we started any training, Bruce discussed safety, health and conditioning issues for both my horse and me.

After only five working days, I was able to saddle and ride Tex in a round pen. Bruce always emphasized safety and for that reason, all training took place in an enclosed area.

Bruce accesses the horse and rider needs before formulating a training plan.  He is very clear and ensures you understand each day’s key training points before beginning new techniques.

To this day, we have remained friends and he continues to improve my riding skills.
